This is a nice project to keep your feet warm this winter by making homemade tall slipper boots. Do you have any old sweaters sitting in your wardrobe for a long time and you don’t want to wear them anymore, either because they are worn out, or just out of fashion? Why not upcycle them into something else, for example, a pair of slipper boots? It’s very easy to make these warm and comfortable slipper boots. Let’s learn how to easily turn those fluffy old sweaters into a cozy embrace for your feet.
What you will need for this fun DIY slipper boots project are:
- old sweater
- cardboard
- marker
- darning needle
- yarn
- pins
- a pair of scissors
Instructions:
- Trace your foot on the cardboard using a marker to make a template of your foot. Leave about half inch margin for easy sewing. Repeat for the other foot.
- Place each template on the low side of the sweater and cut out two sole pieces.
- Put your foot into one sleeve of the sweater through the opening side at the wrist and cut the sleeve away from the sole of you foot to make the leg piece. Repeat for the other foot and sleeve.
- Sew the leg pieces and sole pieces together.
