I love fresh flowers , but it is a sad fact of life that cut flowers do not last for long. However, there are many ways to preserve cut flowers for a little longer, including this wax preservation. When cut flowers are dipped in paraffin wax, you can enjoy their beauty for a little longer. Besides flowers, you can try deciduous leaves ,like tried acorns, pinecones and grass heads full of seeds. It was really fun.
How to preserve Flowers Fresh in Wax ? What you will need: soy wax, beeswax or paraffin, fleshy petal flowers (zinnia, tulips, lily, orchid, rose), clothespins, double boiler to melt wax, wax paper, narrow-necked glass bottles, candy thermometer (optional).
